RE: Sat.TV

I don't know how accurate they are any more, but here's some.
This one shows the Directv transponder table for the 101, 110 and 119 satellites.

This one shows which transponders are used for the SD locals that are on the 101 satellite.
Directv 101 Spot Beam Locals.
The second 'sticky thread' here titled "Directv Transponder/Channel Maps-Data 7/28/08 -All Sats" has a couple of PDF files that has some information. You may have to register here.

I found this for a 3 lnb dish for your zip
Elevation:34.2°
Azimuth (true): 160.9°
Azimuth (magn.): 143.1° using Compass
Dish skew: 102.9°
wait a minute, with Direct you have to adjust skew?

Yes, if it's a 3 or 5 LNB dish.

RE: Warren Dunes State Park

Warren Dunes has a great beach.
You shouldn't have any problems getting a camp site for your motor home.
Besides Warren Dunes, there's also Grand Mere State Park, just a few miles to the north on the lake.
Plus Warren Woods State Park, near Three Oaks. Both are part of Warren Dunes.

RE: crock pot pizza

I bought the ingredients today because it sounded so good. But now, reading the instructions, I have a question...
The pizza sauce and salsa...are they mixed with the hamburger?
Thanks.
Regards,
Michelle
Mix the pizza sauce and salsa together. It goes between the pepperoni and the mozzarella cheese.

I don't know how accurate it is anymore, but here is one for the 101, 110 and 119 satellites.

Here's another old one that shows which SD locals are on which transponder for the 101 satellite.

RE: Satellite TV at home and road

If it's leased, and the receiver quits working, you'll get a free replacement receiver.
But you'll have to pay a $20 shipping charge and return the defective receiver.

Yankee Springs State Park, on Gun Lake between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, especially if you can get a site on the channel.

RE: Firewood

I know some won't(they think you'll bring in strange bugs...)but I've always brought my own wood, usually alot of cut up wood pallets.I've saved alot of money this year so far by not buying cg wood.Their wood is usually green and not to mention $5.00 a bundle.
Here's a quote from a newspaper article.
"It's believed the ash borer - which is a half-inch, emerald green beetle as an adult but wreaks havoc as a wood munching larvae - came to the U.S. near Detroit in the late 1990's from China, arriving in wood pallets or packing crates."

RE: Indiana Dunes: Nat'l Lakeshore (Dunewood) vs State Park

The state park campground has been rebuilt and has electric at each campsite. The restrooms have all been replaced. A very nice campground.
The national park campground does not have electric at the campsites, but does have very nice restrooms.
Click on this web site.
South Shore of Lake Michigan
Click on the satellite map. Open it. Look for Dune Park (Chesterton).
North of there and slightly to the right you'll see a very detailed satellite view of the state park campground at approximately Latitude 41*39'29.88" N and 87*03'22.01" W.
Then scroll to the right and look for Beverly Shores(Porter County) at about Latitude 41*40'14.66"N and Longitude 86*58'57.05"W and there's the national park campground.
The Latitude and Longitude will be in the lower left hand corner.

RE: State Park Fees?

Be aware that MI charges a daily fee for CG use so if you stay just one night, you are charged the fee for the day you check in and then again for the day you check out.
The fee is per night, not the day you check in and then again the day you check out.

RE: Dish/Direct Questions

Take a look at this.
Dishpointer.com
41 degrees is the approximate elevation of the 110 and 119 satellites above the horizon where you're located.
And looking at that web site, it looks like 119 will be about 14 degrees to the west of 119.
I don't know about Dish, but my Directv dish looks like its pointed about 20 to 22 degrees lower than the satellite's actual location.
